Spiritual Battles

Beloved brethren we are engaged in a spiritual battle against spiritual forces that drive temporal actions that result in degradation, death and destruction.  We engage this battle when we become believers.  Therefore, we must be, as Jesus said, as wise as serpents but harmless as doves.  We must prepare for this battle by understanding the tactics of the enemy which he prosecutes through his willing servants and ministers.  The enemy beguiles his willing chattel into believing that following his servants will result in the utmost good, whereas those who follow his ways follow the path of destruction and death.  Within our nation we can see his tactics working through wicked workers within our churches, society, and government who promote indecency, perversion, strife, mayhem, murder, corruption, prevarication, and replacing truth with lies.  Sadly, much of the wicked digression that has afflicted our nation has been championed by the Obama administration, and Hillary Clinton purposes to carry on his corrupt legacy.  This digression promoted by these two lawless individuals will result in the complete abridgment of our constitutional rights and so we will become oppressed by our government, in the United States of America.

Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of His might.  (11)  Put on the whole armor of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.  (12)  For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.  (13)  Wherefore take unto you the whole armor of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand.  (14)  Stand therefore, having your loins girt about with truth, and having on the breastplate of righteousness; (15) And your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace; (16) Above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked.  (17)  And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God: (18) Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints; (19) And for me, that utterance may be given unto me, that I may open my mouth boldly, to make known the mystery of the gospel, (20) For which I am an ambassador in bonds: that therein I may speak boldly, as I ought to speak.  Ephesians 6:10-20

So our positive response to this evil is to fight it with spiritual weapons, just as Jesus Christ and His apostles did as they faced this wicked world when they walked this earth.  Our weapons are not carnal but are spiritual and are mighty for bringing down strongholds.  We must live as God’s children in this corrupt and evil world, this world bound for eternal damnation.  We must put on the whole armor of God, living lives by faith in our God and Savior Jesus Christ equipped with righteousness, with the truth, which is the holy Word of God, the Bible, which is also our offensive weapon, with the gospel of peace, with the surety of our salvation, and with prayers uttered by the very Holy Spirit of God.  Our adversary the devil is not one with whom we may trifle.  He is a deadly enemy wreaking destruction throughout this sin cursed earth.

Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour: (9) Whom resist steadfast in the faith, knowing that the same afflictions are accomplished in your brethren that are in the world.  (10)  But the God of all grace, Who hath called us unto His eternal glory by Christ Jesus, after that ye have suffered a while, make you perfect, establish, strengthen, settle you.  (11)  To Him be glory and dominion for ever and ever. Amen.  1Peter 5:8-11

Again, we overcome the enemy by believing the truth, the truth that is the Holy Scriptures, the Holy Bible, the inerrant, infallible, inspired, persevered Word of God.  The truth of God undergirds our faith; this is the source, sustaining, supporting our most holy faith.  We become equipped to fight against the evil of the devil as we rightly divide the Word of Truth by the power of the Holy Spirit, for God’s glory and our edification, mutually and individually.

The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly.  (11)  I am the Good Shepherd: the Good Shepherd giveth His life for the sheep.  (12)  But he that is a hireling, and not the shepherd, whose own the sheep are not, seeth the wolf coming, and leaveth the sheep, and fleeth: and the wolf catcheth them, and scattereth the sheep.  John 10:10-12

We live in the terrible times prophesied within the New Testament epistles.  We see many profligate hirelings promulgating deceptive doctrines meant to anesthetize and debilitate God’s children, so they then become willing captives of this evil puppet master, used by him to further his agenda of wicked corruption, rather than staunch soldiers of the cross of Christ, working to stanch the flow of wickedness emanating from the gaping wound of the dying patient, the United States of America.  We must be wise as serpents and harmless as doves, we must reject the candidacy of Hillary Clinton and support the only viable opposition candidate, to do otherwise will ensure the complete destruction of our country through the conniving overthrow of the Bill of Rights guaranteed within our Constitution.  Ms. Clinton is such an accomplished liar, she will lead many to believe that she is working for their good, when in truth, she is seeking to bring about a socialist agenda within our nation.  Think about how well that worked out for the citizens of the USSR, the United Soviet Socialist Republic, and the murder and oppression which was prosecuted against that citizenry, especially believing Christians and Jews.

Therefore seeing we have this ministry, as we have received mercy, we faint not; (2) But have renounced the hidden things of dishonesty, not walking in craftiness, nor handling the word of God deceitfully; but by manifestation of the truth commending ourselves to every man’s conscience in the sight of God.  (3)  But if our gospel be hid, it is hid to them that are lost: (4) In whom the god of this world hath blinded the minds of them which believe not, lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, Who is the image of God, should shine unto them.  2Corinthians 4:1-4

God’s servants will speak the truth in love and will not be afraid to expose the agenda of evil that is being promoted by the evil leadership within the Democratic party.  God’s pastors and teachers will exhort and encourage His children to spread the gospel of Jesus Christ far and wide.  We have to realize that the time is late.  Our window of opportunity is quickly being slammed shut.  We either stand for the truth of the Word of God and oppose wickedness, or we become the victims of the evil characterizing these last days.  We need to be serious about prayer and evangelism.  We need to be serious about loving one another.  We need to be infused with the truth of God, which is the Bible, through reading, study, and prayerful meditation.  We need to turn away from the hidden things of dishonesty which crafty wicked workers promote through their deceitful mishandling of the Word of God through the many avenues of dispersion to further the lies of Satan.  We need to be as wise as serpents and harmless as doves, holding forth the Word of Life to a wicked and depraved generation.  Amen!

Wherefore, my beloved, as ye have always obeyed, not as in my presence only, but now much more in my absence, work out your own salvation with fear and trembling.  (13)  For it is God Which worketh in you both to will and to do of His good pleasure.  (14)  Do all things without murmurings and disputings:  (15)  That ye may be blameless and harmless, the sons of God, without rebuke, in the midst of a crooked and perverse nation, among whom ye shine as lights in the world;  (16)  Holding forth the word of life; that I may rejoice in the day of Christ, that I have not run in vain, neither labored in vain.  (17)  Yea, and if I be offered upon the sacrifice and service of your faith, I joy, and rejoice with you all.  (18)  For the same cause also do ye joy, and rejoice with me. Philippian 2:12-18

That which was from the beginning, which we have heard, which we have seen with our eyes, which we have looked upon, and our hands have handled, of the Word of Life;  (2)  (For the Life was manifested, and we have seen it, and bear witness, and shew unto you that Eternal Life, which was with the Father, and was manifested unto us;)  (3)  That which we have seen and heard declare we unto you, that ye also may have fellowship with us: and truly our fellowship is with the Father, and with His Son Jesus Christ.  (4)  And these things write we unto you, that your joy may be full.  (5)  This then is the message which we have heard of Him, and declare unto you, that God is light, and in Him is no darkness at all.  (6)  If we say that we have fellowship with Him, and walk in darkness, we lie, and do not the truth:  (7)  But if we walk in the light, as He is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ His Son cleanseth us from all sin.  (8)  If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us.  (9)  If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.  (10)  If we say that we have not sinned, we make Him a liar, and His word is not in us. (1) My little children, these things write I unto you, that ye sin not. And if any man sin, we have an Advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous:  (2)  And He is the propitiation for our sins: and not for ours only, but also for the sins of the whole world.  (3)  And hereby we do know that we know Him, if we keep His commandments.  (4)  He that saith, I know Him, and keepeth not His commandments, is a liar, and the truth is not in him.  (5)  But whoso keepeth His word, in him verily is the love of God perfected: hereby know we that we are in Him.  (6)  He that saith he abideth in Him ought himself also so to walk, even as He walked. 1John 1: 2: 6

Lord Jesus Christ the lies swirling throughout the air are designed to fill us with uncertainty and confusion.  Help us to be wise as serpents and harmless as doves.  May we remember that You did comment upon the secular leadership of Your day, calling Herod a fox; You did not allow that evil worker to stop Your divine employment.  May we be willing to call out the wicked leadership within our country and do what is necessary to stop its advancement so we are able to freely preach the gospel.  Jesus we know that persecution will not stop the advancement of the gospel, but we desire peace for our brethren and our families that we may more effectively be Your witnesses. We will not love our lives to the death, but will be faithful witnesses for You as we hold fast our faith in You, because of Your blood shed for us on Calvary, and testify to the Word of truth, Your Holy Bible.  Amen!

The same day there came certain of the Pharisees, saying unto him, Get thee out, and depart hence: for Herod will kill thee.  (32)  And He said unto them, Go ye, and tell that fox, Behold, I cast out devils, and I do cures today and tomorrow, and the third day I shall be perfected. Luke 13:31-32

And I heard a loud voice saying in heaven, Now is come salvation, and strength, and the kingdom of our God, and the power of His Christ: for the accuser of our brethren is cast down, which accused them before our God day and night.  And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb, and by the word of their testimony; and they loved not their lives unto the death. Revelation 12:10-11

If the opposition candidate is indeed Donald Trump, then no. No, I will not support Donald Trump. And no, I will not support Hillary Clinton. Nor Johnson nor Stein. To do so would be a betrayal of everything I stand for and believe in as a follower of the Lord Jesus Christ. I respect that you have a different view. God bless.

Then be prepared for the degradation of our country and the marginalization of hardworking citizens who are the backbone of this nation. Be ready to turn over your hard earned resources to those who desire to steal what you have earned through honest labor. Be prepared for persecution for your belief in Jesus Christ and evil assault upon your family and loved ones. If you are waiting for a god-fearing Christian to lead this country then you have a long wait because we haven’t had any believers at the helm for a long time. Please don’t complain when Hillary is president and things get appreciably worse, it is this naive attitude that will guarantee her election.

Hi and God bless you. Yes I hear you and I completely agree. It is very awful. I also very much agree we must be wise as serpents and harmless as doves. I take voting very seriously and have always voted. I just cannot in good conscience vote for the present presumptive nominee. I just can’t. There is a lot of talk about trade, and I am looking at Revelation 13 very carefully. I am watching very closely what is happening and what happens at the national convention starting July 18th. A lot of people have conscience objections. Ecclesiastes 10:1, Matthew 7:20, and other Scriptures are influencing my thinking. I understand we may not always have a Christian believer to vote for, but I just cannot support someone in any party who has serious moral and ethical problems and has not demonstrated public remorse and repentance from their misdeeds.

Here is something for you and others to keep in mind, we are in the age of grace where God is calling out sinners to Himself through faith in His Son Jesus Christ. Now it is true that those individuals can certainly impact their nation for Christ and see godly living established throughout the land, but in the New Testament God has given no indication that He is calling out nations to be established upon Christian government. When Paul wrote Romans, the Caesars were the rulers and they were a wicked lot. In Romans 13 Paul says that the governments that be are established by God for punishing wrong doing and rewarding good behavior. Even in such a corrupt governmental system that purpose was being fulfilled. So if we have before us the choice of one who will undoubtedly lead us away from this purpose so that sinners are exonerated and the just are condemned, or the choice of one who will uphold the purpose of law, even though he is a sinner, we must choose the one who will be obedient to this Scripture. After eight years of a lawless president, one who spurns the constitution and the division of powers that our country was established upon, do we really want his legacy to continue through the wicked efforts of this lawless woman who has no regard for the truth and lies just like her father, Satan? If you do not vote you and your loved ones will then have to experience the lawlessness that will spread like a cancer throughout our nation. Do you really want that?

Hello ♥ I would agree *if* I believed the opposition candidate would do as you are saying – that he would uphold the law. When I look at his history, the history of his life, which I know well but have gotten even more familiar with through the course of the primary, I do not agree that he will uphold the law. There is a lot of bad fruit that comes forth from both his past and in his present actions and words, to this very day. I find much of it very frightening and dangerous. I simply cannot vote for that or condone it any way. Yes, we are all sinners and no one is perfect. But to be elected to the highest office in the land? Basic decency is very important.

“If you do not vote you and your loved ones will then have to experience the lawlessness that will spread like a cancer throughout our nation. Do you really want that?”

I do not want that. However, I believe that lawlessness will abound under either option. Either option is very bad and very harmful to our nation, in my view. The GOP is being infiltrated and corrupted by his bad influence, and it’s gravely concerning. So I’m really looking forward to the convention next week because a lot of people are gravely concerned. Whatever happens, I will keep looking to the Lord. (Psalm 118:8-9) Thank you for allowing me to share my thoughts.

Eliza.thankyou for all postings and your adherence to the Word of God.Iam in agreement with Karen and in my heart cannot vote for a reprobate. Both candidates are evil, and part and parcel of God’s judgement on this nation for unrepentant sin,as is Obama. Our hope is not in our government or the President, but in the Lord Jesus as you well know.It truly must be our cry to God for His Mercy upon this nation. For His will, purposes, and plans will be done as we look to Him alone, for He alone rules the nations. Praise and Glory to our LORD JESUS CHRIST.

Where I live I cannot have my children attend public school because of the perversion that is taught within the public school system. Are you prepared for this to be the case for the nation? Are you prepared for all of the citizens of this nation to have to deal with onerous taxation as means of wealth distribution? Are you prepared for the citizens of this nation to be locked up on trumped up charges? Are you prepared for this nation to become a third world country where everyone is a chattel of the state?

Since when has there ever been a president who wasn’t a sinner? Since when has there ever been a president who was a genuine born again believer in Jesus Christ? When was the last time there was a genuinely godly man in the White House? At least with Trump we can stop the slide toward socialism where no one, I repeat no one, will have rights.

We are given the right to vote. This is a God given right. We should exercise it with discernment. Our choice is between these two candidates, one will continue the policies of Obama, the other will oppose his evil agenda. I want to warn you that the socialists and the corrupt media are counting on you and countless others like you to do what you are saying you will do, not vote. Well your decision not to vote is a vote for Hillary Clinton.

So be prepared for increased terrorist attacks in this nation killing innocent people. Be prepared for increased lawlessness leading to the murder of more police officers. Be prepared for more forms of sexual perversion to be promoted. Be prepared for judgment to start at the church of God as believers are locked up for holding fast to the Word of Truth. Be prepared for the furtherance of Satan’s evil plans for this nation and the spread of satanism and all manner of evil false religion. That is what your conscience vote will achieve.

    Karen,
Here is the problem with what you are saying, you are giving innuendo and not giving evidence of how Trump has been lawless. I don’t see it in his history. As a matter of fact, there are a number of reporters bent on uncovering his lawless deeds, where are they? For all I know what you are saying is because you are a supporter of the republican establishment, of the same sort that is now in office NOT doing the will of the people, and so you are parroting their concerns. For all I know you are a liberal progressive who is bent on diluting the vote so that Trump will not get elected and then Hillary will then continue the legacy of Obama. For all I know you are being deceived by a false teacher in the pulpit, a lackey for the government, who is trying to scare his flock of sheeple so they will not go out and vote and overturn this socialist progressive debacle that is being foisted upon the American people against their will. So until you give me evidence of his lawlessness then that is what I will believe about your motives for writing.

Trump has been married three times, built his fortune in the casino industry, bragged about the women he has seduced, and expressed admiration for dictators. He has expressed his support for the LGBT community, and has talked about picking a pro-choice retired general for Vice-President. He has run his campaign like a shameless demagogue. He has a poor relationship with the Republicans in Congress, not to mention the Democrats. He doesn’t attend church, says he doesn’t need forgiveness, and his speeches are laced with profanity. Frankly, if he gets elected I think the chances are better than even that he will become a dictator. And Evangelicals voted for all of this?

He isn’t a Christian, nor is he Clinton. Clinton is more likely to become a dictator than Trump. He was open to the press during his candidacy, while Clinton wouldn’t meet with the press at all. If she gets elected our nation is ruined, she will continue the evil legacy of Obama. Do you really want that?

Hi Eliza, I’m sorry for the delay. You asked, “What bad fruit are you referring to? It would be good to know what you are referencing. Thank you.” I went to find examples of the things that concern me the most. There is other stuff, but below is what concerns me the most.

I am pro-life. The sanctity of human life is really important to me. Mr. Trump used to be pro-choice and now he says he is pro-life. He says he’s evolved on a lot of issues, so I’m trying to trace that in his life – test what he is saying, I mean.

Based on his party switching and large political donations to both parties, I don’t understand what his guiding political and moral philosophy is. So I’m concerned about life, when he became pro-life and if it was important enough to him to stop funding Democrats who defend abortion and Planned Parenthood.

I’m also concerned about buying political favors. He says he’s a businessman and seemed to say everybody does it. I don’t know. I don’t have a lot of money. I am looking at these verses: Proverbs 15:27, 17:23,18:16,19:6,21:14. And Exodus 23:8, Deuteronomy 10:17,16:19,27:25

Mr. Trump commented frequently on my Senator, Ted Cruz, saying that he waves a Bible around and lies. I’ve never seen Senator Cruz waving a Bible around, but he has been a very good conservative senator for us here in Texas. So to be completely forthright, I am a Ted Cruz supporter. I am very frustrated with the establishment, and the establishment hates Cruz. But I would’ve voted for any of the other candidates had they been chosen, although I don’t completely agree with all of them. But they don’t frighten and offend me like Mr. Trump does.

These are other Scriptures that influence my thinking on whether or not to vote for Mr. Trump: 2 Chronicles 19:2, Nehemiah 6:13, Matthew 16:6-12, 1 Corinthians 5:6, Galatians 5:9, Luke 6:43-45, James 3:11-12. I just cannot vote for him, but maybe other Christians who are voting for him see something in the Bible I’m not seeing or interpret it differently. If the only choice is the current Trump, Clinton, Johnson, or Stein, I will not vote. But as I said before, I understand others may have a different view and I respect that. And if you need to delete my post here, I understand. Some of that content is not good for a Christian blog; I just wanted to try to answer your question.

        Hi Karen,
Thank you for the reply I deleted all of the links per my commenting rules. The passage that prompts me to vote for Trump is found in Galatians chapter 6:

And let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not. (10) As we have therefore opportunity, let us do good unto all men, especially unto them who are of the household of faith. Galatians 6:9-10

Since I want to protect my fellow citizens from Clinton continuing Obama’s evil policies, I will vote for Trump. He is against the globalization that is ruining our country and he wants to maintain law and order. Clinton wants to continue globalization and is obviously lawless. The righteous will definitely be attacked under a Clinton presidency, while perverts will be given special justice. Look out if she wins, I know that for sure. Don’t forget that the media wants to manipulate people like you to ensure Clinton wins the presidency.

Eliza, what your argument boils down to is that we have to vote for a bad candidate because the other candidate is bad. There is absolutely no evidence whatsoever that Trump would make a better president than Clinton, and conceivably he could be much worse. He displays the spirit of antichrist (II Thess. 2:4). In this election neither one of the major party candidates if fit for high office.
Clinton could never become a dictator because she would need the support of the military, and she doesn’t have it. Trump could, however, and acts like he would.
As for myself, I am planning on voting for Darrel Castle of the Constitution Party, although I will have to write in his name here in Pennsylvania (the Republicans have succeeded in keeping us off the ballot here).

I don’t believe Trump is a bad candidate. I believe he is an unsaved man running for president of the United States. He isn’t perfect. But your vote for that other candidate is a vote for Clinton and I can’t believe what you are saying about her rule as president given the horrible destruction that has occurred in our country for the past eight years. You write it off as if it were nothing. That is very foolish. Things will be much, much worse under Clinton then they ever would be under Trump.

Where in Trump’s behavior as a business man and a television celebrity do you see the hallmarks of a dictator? Really? In his relationship with his family members, where are the signs that he would be a dictator? Do dictators allow press coverage, even when unflattering? Clinton never allowed any coverage. She refused to meet with the press. She is far more qualified to be a dictator by her actions than Trump.

Your fear mongering will guarantee another 4 to 8 years of the evil destruction that we have witnessed in this country. How unwise are you that you could glibly allow this to take place?
