Please Pray

Dear Brothers and Sisters,

This is a prayer request for a precious sister in the Lord who is on the frontline of contending for the faith once for all delivered to the saints.  Her name is Carly Matrisciana, and the Lord has been using her to combat the false teaching that is endemic within the church.  Last fall she suffered serious injuries from a terrible bike accident, she then was diagnosed with breast cancer, and now she is in the hospital with pneumonia that isn’t responding well to antibiotics.  Please pray for her recovery and healing.  Our God is mighty and able to do exceedingly above all that we ask or think.  Here is the link to the information about her that I got from Lighthouse Trails.

Isn’t it wonderful that we can bring requests before our God for believers and unbelievers alike.  Our family recently prayed for an acquaintance who has cancer.  It looked pretty dire.  Praise God he is responding to treatment and the doctors believe that he will go into remission.  My husband said Dennis is not feeling that great physically (being on chemo) but he is feeling better mentally since now Dennis believes that he will survive.  He isn’t a believer, but God is merciful nonetheless.  Let’s pray for this dear sister and this man, Dennis, that God would do a mighty work on their behalf.  God bless us.

14 Is anyone among you sick?  Let him call for the elders of the church and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord.  15 And the prayer of faith will save the sick, and the Lord will raise him up.  And if he has committed sins, he will be forgiven.  16 Confess you trespasses to one another, and pray for one another, that you may be healed.  The effective, fervent prayer of a righteous man avails much.  James 5:14-16

Will definitely be praying. I know from my recent hospital stay, you CAN tell when prayers are being raised for you. Plus the peace the Lord gives us as we go through our problems.
